The Independent Online

The Independent’s website includes content from both The Independent and The Independent on Sunday plus extra features such as breaking news, audio and video podcasts, blogs, polls, games and competitions. Alongside the latest news from the UK, Europe and around the world, the editor’s choice column highlights some of the best articles to be found across the site. Channels include news, opinion, environment, sport, life & style, arts & entertainment, travel, money, extras, student and offers.

Additional content since the site recently relaunched includes a section specifically for Robert Fisk, our award-winning Middle East correspondent, exclusive video and audio content, more lifestyle features such as gardening, interiors and health, 10 and 50 Best in the IndyBest section (including archives) plus an extensive music offering which complements our Independent Music magazine that includes a radio show, download store and chart, audio player and forums. The student channel is being developed to reflect The Independent’s enormous influence in this sector, whether it be targeting students at school with the highly successful Fantasy Football for Schools game, those going to university via official association with UCAS or those opting for postgraduate study or an MBA.

New Indy Site

An extensive range of commercial opportunities are available to clients such as sponsorship (for example our regular 48 Hours and business travel sections), cross media association with Independent Music Magazine, plus microsites, advertorials, competitions, games, and audio or video podcasts.

"The Independent Online works as a dynamic extra edition to the newspaper. It delivers independent values and interpretation to a loyal audience around the world. To our UK users, it provides the section-by-section opportunity to catch up on their specific interest, whether that’s the Environment, Everton or Education."
