Win one of two fantastic holidays to Singapore!

Singapore has always been a place where worlds meet, with both a fascinating history and a modern, vibrant appeal. And we’re offering you the chance to see the city for yourself!

All you have to do is send us your photographs illustrating your ideas of two worlds meeting. And don’t confine yourself to the UK! Send us pictures taken at home and abroad, just as long as they show different cultures sitting side by side. It could be a picture of Notting Hill Carnival samba dancers smooching up with uniformed police officers, or Buddhist monks waiting to fly at an airport; whatever says two worlds meeting to you.

The photo with the most votes will win a fantastic four-night break for two to Singapore. This will include accommodation, flights and all transfers. Additionally, Simon Calder – the Independent’s travel editor – will choose his favourite photo from all sumbitted entries, and the entrant who took it will win the same, as well as being featured in The Traveller early next year.

Both winners will be required to take 15 photographs of their experience of unique Singapore. Some of these pictures will also be featured in The Traveller magazine at a later date.

To enter, email us a maximum of three photos (briefly describing each picture) to: .

Please state your name, email address, daytime telephone number and whether you are happy for us to pass your contact details on to third parties. Due to the popularity of the competition, the closing date for entries has now changed to Friday 28th September 2007.

Come back on the Saturday 29th September for the launch of our first gallery and to vote on your favourite photo.

Come back on the Saturday 6th October for the launch of our second gallery and to vote on your favourite photo from the new selection.

View the Top 10 Gallery from Monday 15th October.
